Hello guys! It’s me, Lou, again! I am so happy to be here and give you another free crochet pattern. This time I used a baby yarn to make a cocoon for my little one that just came to this world about a month ago.

I only used simple stitches for this one, mainly double and single crochet, because the yarn does all the work here! It is so soft and fluffy and creates this beautiful fur-like texture.

The baby cocoon will fit a 0-3 month old baby, but I have instructions in the pattern if you would like to make it smaller to fit just a newborn. It will make a great photo prop for the first solo photos of your baby or you can use it instead of blanket in your stroller. It will definitely keep your baby warm and happy!

Materials needed:

Kartopu Anakuzusu

US L/ 8 mm crochet hook

This cocoon will make a great photo prop to use for your newborn’s first photos or as a swaddle for these first few days that babies like to feel more snug, as they used to be inside the womb.

I don’t see very well anymore due to macular degeneration.. I want to make a cocoon for a gift. I have a pattern but my eyes won’t focus well enough to go from pattern to yarn. Is there a video to show how to make this with regular yarn? I only have til early November to get it done. Single and double crochet stitches are perfect and I want to do a hooded one because I don’t know how to make hats. HELP! Please.
