Hi Maker’s! Brenna from @brennaannhandmade here, welcoming the colder winter weather with a FREE simple ribbed, crochet boot cuff, step-by-step tutorial made in collaboration with HobiumYarns! This cozy & warm pattern was created using HobiumYarns lovely La Mia Just Wool yarn, a 100% recycled wool! 🙂
Are you ready to get started? Great, let’s go! 😉
*Finished boot cuffs measure approximately 10 cm x 15 cm + fit a Women’s Size Small as written. To alter:
– Length: add / decrease base chain 2 chains per cm
– Width: add / decrease 1 row per cm
1 ball of La Mia Just Wool (be sure to purchase an additional ball of yarn if sizing up)
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
hdc = half double crochet
bl = back loop
Row 1: Make a sl st, and ch 22. Put 1 hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook & across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Put 1 hdc in the bl of the same st, and each st across EXCEPT the last st. Instead, put 1 regular hdc in the last st of the row. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3-33: Repeat row 2.
To Seam Up Boot Cuff:
Step 1: Ch 1, and fold the boot coff together, placing the finishing row even with the starting row.
Step 2: Sl st the 2 sides together evenly as pictured, by inserting the hook from front to back, 1st through the bl of the 1st st on the last row & then the 1st st on the starting row, and finally pulling through to close.
Repeat up the entire boot cuff to close.
Cut yarn, & pull through to tighten.
Weave in all ends to complete.
Now, repeat all of the above steps to make one more matching boot cuff. 😉
Ta da! You’re all finished! 🙂
