Hi guys! My name is Anna, and I’m the cactus obsessed maker behind TheKnottyBoss. Although, I’m mainly “known” [and i use that term very loosely] for my amigurumi, I’ve been dying to try and make something wearable. The idea of designing a cactus hat always loomed in the back of my head, and with winter approaching, this seemed like the perfect time to do it!
I am BEYOND excited to finally share this Cactus Hat Crochet Pattern, which was created in collaboration with the wonderful Hobium Yarns. This design will forever hold a special place in my heart, since it not only combines my [semi-healthy] obsession with crochet and cacti, but also happens to be the FIRST full pattern I’m sharing with the world… normally, I’m terrible at writing things down!
This Cactus Hat was made with Kartopu Alpaca Sport Yarn which, I feel, works perfectly. It’s soft, and warm, without being too bulky. Its fuzzy texture echoes a texture of a cactus, but it’s not too fuzzy where you lose the definition in your stitches. It’s as if this yarn was made especially for this pattern 😉
I would love to see YOUR cactus hat!
If you make one, please share your photos on instagram or facebook using #theknottyboss so I don’t miss them
I hope you all enjoy.
