The JUMBO Cinch Tie Beach Bag Crochet Pattern by BrennaAnnHandmade

Hi everyone! Brenna from BrennaAnnHandmade here, and July’s 1st FREE crochet pattern made in collaboration with HobiumYarns features the perfect project for summer – the JUMBO Cinch Tie Beach Bag! It’ll hold absolutely everything you’ll want to bring on your next trip to the beach, with plenty of room to spare! ;-D

It uses the super fun, Spagetti Ribbon yarn from HobiumYarns to create this DIY – I chose this pretty pastel pink color to make my bag in, but HobiumYarns also has a bunch of other beautiful colors to choose from as well. Let me know which color you’d pick in the comments below! 😉

Are you ready to get started? Great! Let’s go! ;-D

Step 1: Ch 150, and pull through to create a long tie to weave through Round 27 as pictured.

Step 2: (To add Fringe the Tie) Cut (2) 8″ strands of yarn, fold 1 of the strands in half, and attach to one end of the tie as follows: (using the crochet hook to help you) insert crochet hook from back to front, wrap the middle (half point) of your yarn bundle around, & pull the loop through (not all the way). Then, take the “tails” of the yarn & pull them through the loop you just created, tightening to create tassel. Repeat on the other end of the cinch tie.
Then, just trim all the fringe to make them even.

Weave in all ends. You’re all finished! Enjoy you brand new, handmade JUMBO beach bag! 😉
