Step 4: Sl st the next 16 stitches.

Now repeat steps 1-4, two more times. Then cut yarn and weave in all ends.

Place your small plant & pot into your new handmade hanger, and tie a knot about 6 inches down from the keychain as shown for a little extra added detail.

Ta da! You’re all finished, enjoy! 😉

Simple Striped Cotton Kitchen Towel Crochet Pattern by BrennaAnnHandmade

Happy June and (almost) summer everyone! 😉 I’m here with another FREE DIY  tutorial for the kitchen today, with this super simple, striped cotton tea towel crochet pattern! It uses HobiumYarns beautifully versatile, 100% DMC Natura Just Cotton yarn in yellow and  white – two lovely, summery colors (but of course you can use any two colors you like best! 😉 )

Are you ready to get started? 🙂 Great! Here’s what you’ll need:

Materials Needed:

2 Balls of Yellow (or 340 yards main color of your choice)  DMC Natura Just Cotton Yarn

1 Ball of White (or approximately 85 yards stripe color of your choice) DMC Natura Just Cotton Yarn

A 4mm Crochet Hook

A pair of Scissors

Abbreviations:

Ch = chain

St = stitch

Dc = double crochet

Directions:

Row 1: Starting with the main yellow yarn color, ch 65. Put 1 dc in the 3rd ch from hook and in in each ch across.

Row 2: Ch 2, turn. Skip 1 st, and put 1 dc in the next st and in each st across. (Don’t forget that very last dc of the row!)

Rows 3-4: Repeat Row 2.

Row 5: Repeat Row 2, EXCEPT when you reach the very last dc, DO NOT complete the last “pull through” – instead, use the next (white yarn) color to pull through and complete that final stitch. Cut the yellow yarn and tie it to the tail of the white yarn you just attached as pictured.

Row 6: (continuing on using the white yarn color) Repeat Row 2, EXCEPT when you reach the very last dc, DO NOT complete the last “pull through” – instead, use the 1st (yellow yarn) color to pull through and complete that final stitch. Cut the white yarn and tie it to the tail of the yellow yarn you just attached.

Rows 7-18: Repeat Rows 5-6, alternating colors each row.

Rows 19-69: (finishing with the yellow yarn color) Repeat Row 2.

Cut yarn, weave in all ends and trim yarn.

You’re all finished, enjoy your brand new, handmade striped cotton kitchen towel! 😉
