Using Light Blue, cast on 144 (156, 168, 180) stitches, place stitch marker, and join for working in the round. Work *k1, p1* ribbing for 1.25 inches.

All sizes:

Knit one round in white yarn. Then work rounds 2-11 of chart (which repeats across the round) for a total of 4 times. At this point, your hat should be approx. 6 inches from cast on. If you would like a longer/slouchier hat, work more repeats of rounds 2-11 here as desired. If you are satisfied with the length, work rounds 12-20 of the chart to prepare for the crown shaping.

Finishing:
Weave in ends on the wrong side.  Block hat as desired. You can wear your hat as is, or top it off with a pom pom. In the hat pictured, the pom pom was made using one strand of black and one strand of the medium blue held double throughout making the pom pom. If you are unsure how to make a pom pom, here is a guide.
